Mining sector policies are being upgraded after two decades
Chief of Iran's mining house said that the mining sector policies are being updated after 22 years, and stated : Mining with the view of sustainable development as well as mining based on territorial planning are emphasized.
Mohammad Reza Bahraman, at a meeting of the Headquarters for the Commemoration of the Decade of Production and Trade at the Ministry of ministry of industry & mine and trade  responded to the IRNA reporter and added: "The Expediency Council last drafted the policy of the mining sector document in 2000 and has been  confirmed by the  The supreme Leader of the  Islamic revolution.

He said: Today we observe that by holding  several meetings after two decades, the policies of the mining sector are being updated. The meetings  started in the past five months and are  being held weekly.
Bahraman  said : Mining is a strategic sector with good prospects for our country, which can be a supplier of raw materials needed by our country's industries, as well as other countries in the region and the world.

He said: In the last report presented by the Secretariat of the Expediency Council quoting Hojat-al- eslam Mesbahi Moghadam", the objectives as well as  future policies have been identified.

The chief of Iran's mining house stressed that one of the requirements of the mining sector is mining with a view to sustainable development as well as mining based on territorial planning.
He continued: "In addition to the Mine House of Iran, the Mineral Deputy of the  Ministry  of industry & mine and trade  , the Atomic Energy Organization and other relevant agencies are present, and certainly after the approval of the policies by the The Supreme Leader and their notification, we will have changes in the law and all the views should also be based on the same policies.
